Use AI TTS Microservice Directly in ChatGPT

AI TTS Microservice is now available as a Custom GPT in ChatGPT. You can search voices, generate speech, manage your audio library, and check usage — all through a conversation. No API keys to configure, no code to write.

What It Does

The AI TTS Microservice GPT connects to your account via OAuth and gives ChatGPT access to the same capabilities available through the REST API and MCP server. You authorize the connection once, and then you can:

  • Search and browse voices — filter by language, provider, gender, or model type. Ask for "a female English voice from Google" and get results instantly.
  • Generate speech — provide text and a voice, and the GPT submits a TTS job on your behalf. It returns a download link when the audio is ready.
  • Check job status — ask about a specific job or list recent jobs with filters.
  • Get cost estimates — ask how much a generation would cost before committing credits.
  • Manage your library — view collections, tags, bookmarks, and storage usage.
  • Create and manage shares — generate shareable audio links, set access controls, and create QR codes.

How to Connect

Open the AI TTS Microservice GPT in ChatGPT. The first time you use it, ChatGPT will ask you to sign in. This opens a consent screen where you authorize the connection and choose which scopes to approve — voices, generation, jobs, shares, library, storage, and usage. Once authorized, the GPT can act on your behalf until you revoke access.

Access tokens expire after one hour and refresh automatically. If you want to disconnect, you can revoke access from your account settings at any time.

What You Can Ask

A few examples of natural-language requests the GPT handles:

  • "Find me a natural-sounding British English male voice"
  • "Generate speech from this paragraph using google:en-US-Chirp3HD-Charon"
  • "How much would it cost to generate 2,000 characters at Premium tier?"
  • "Show me my last 5 completed jobs"
  • "Create a share link for job abc-123"
  • "What's my current storage usage?"

When to Use the GPT vs the API

The GPT is ideal for quick tasks, exploration, and one-off generations — especially if you prefer a conversational interface. For automated workflows, batch processing, or integration into your own application, the REST API or MCP server gives you full programmatic control.

Both paths use the same underlying platform. A job created through the GPT shows up in your dashboard, and audio generated via the API is visible to the GPT. Your credits, library, and shares are shared across all access methods.
